If I can improve, so can you.

I know what it feels like to be stuck. To spend money on prep companies, sit through generic content, and come out the other side with no real idea of what Section 2 is actually asking of you. I was there. I went from a 68 to an 84 and then to a 92, and most of that progress only came once I stopped following what everyone else was teaching and started working out what the exam actually rewards.

I did not come from a writing background. I studied IT, I never scored well in English at school, and I was never a natural writer. None of it was talent. It was understanding what Section 2 actually rewards and then practising the right way.

The more you write the more you learn, but only if you start from the right place. You do not need to already be a strong writer to work with me. You need to be willing to learn and to put the time in.

Let me clear a few things up.

There is a lot of noise in the GAMSAT tutoring space. I am here to teach you to think, not to sell you a formula.

MythTask A is argumentative and Task B is reflective.

TruthShow me one place ACER has ever said that. Both are written communication, and treating them as two different styles is one of the most common and most costly mistakes.

MythYou should write what the markers want to hear.

TruthSection 2 rewards genuine, interrogated thinking, not safe and tired ideas.

It is not an essay.

It is written communication.

It is you putting ideas to text.

Your thoughts, made legible.

Most people who stall are not lazy. They are prepping hard in the wrong direction. You cannot expect a good score from bad prep.

Here is how it actually works.

94% of students I work with improve. But I want to be straight with you about what that takes, because it does not happen by attending lessons alone.

When we work together, I set you work. Specific writing, specific reflection, specific practice that is structured around where you are and where you need to go. That work happens between sessions. It has to. You cannot build a skill by watching someone explain it once a week and doing nothing in between.

The sessions give you direction and feedback. Your own time gives you the score. Both parts are required. If you do the work I set and you put in genuine effort outside of our lessons, improvement is almost certain. That has been the pattern across nearly every student I have worked with.

I am not handing you a score. I am showing you exactly how to earn one.

How I work.

I only do one on one. No group lessons, no cohorts. Everyone thinks differently and everyone needs something different. That is the only way I know how to teach well.

I also only take students who can commit to at least one lesson per week. That is not an arbitrary rule. Consistent tutoring is the only way this works. When the gap between sessions stretches out, momentum breaks. You forget what we covered, the direction drifts, and the feedback loses its sharpness. Weekly contact keeps everything live. It keeps you moving. Anything less than that and I genuinely cannot help you the way I want to.

I am not just a tutor. To genuinely help someone you need to break the ice first. There are zero formalities with me. I have made real friends with many of my students along the way, and I mean that. You should feel comfortable enough to ask me anything, whenever you want, without once worrying whether it is a stupid question. That openness is not a nice extra. It is part of how the learning actually works.

On top of the one on one work, my students get access to free live drop in sessions I run throughout the week. We go through high scoring essays together, I answer generalised questions about the exam, share extra tips, and sometimes just test everyone on the spot. It is informal, it is open, and it adds a layer of exposure to good writing that compounds over time.

Email to apply if you are ready to begin as soon as possible, willing to put in the work between sessions, and can commit to at least one lesson a week.

There is no booking calendar. Send me an email with a bit about yourself, your current scores and the score you want to reach. I read every message and decide who I can take on, since I work with a limited number of students at a time.
